Loh Dalum means Dalum Bay in Thai. Idyllic, exotic, a tropical paradise – all of these descriptions apply to Loh Dalum. It's located on the north-facing coast of Phi Phi Don Island, opposite the more popular Tonsai Bay. Because the land is so narrow, it’s only a 150-metre walk away from Tonsai ferry pier but the atmosphere here is markedly different from that of its busy neighbour.
At a length of about one kilometre, Loh Dalum’s beach is the perfect spot to sunbath quietly. It’s also a pleasant place to frolic in the shallow turquoise waters of the bay and to enjoy sea kayaking. At night, the atmosphere of Loh Dalum Bay (as many people inaccurately calls it) changes totally. The quiet beach becomes a gigantic discotheque until the wee hours. With dance music, fire shows, and buckets filled with spirit, red bull, and soda, Loh Dalum offers a Full Moon-like type of party every night.
